A bride's veil is the finishing touch to her entire wedding ensemble. It is important to choose a veil that compliments you and your wedding gown.
Matching the Gown
It is important that the veil you choose be the same color as your gown. Many gowns come in a wide variety of white, off-white and gold hues, so be sure that your veil will be ordered to match.
Color is not the only thing that needs to match. If your veil is going to be adorned with any type of decal or jewel, make sure they, too, coordinate with your gown.
Flattering your Face
The only way to succeed at this is by trying different styles on. Alos, don't be discouraged if they veil you like does not seem flattering. Let's say you have a round face that you would like to appear more oval-like: Add height with a tiara or an extra layer to your favorite style veil and you have you dream veil!
Hairstyle
You do not need to know exactly how you are going to wear your hair the day of the wedding when you are shopping for your veil and headpiece, but it helps to have a general idea. You will not want to choose certain types if you are planning to wear your hair all down.
Wearing the Headpiece at the Reception
It is helpful to decide what you want to do early, because at Bridal Sophisitcate, Inc. we are happy to add velcro to an existing two layerd veil or we can order the veil with an easily removable comb so that you can remove it at the reception if you wish!
